KELSEY HUBBELL

CONNECTION & COLLABORATION

Kelsey Hubbell Studio explores how fun, culture, and community connection can strengthen civic life.
Founded by Kelsey Hubbell, the studio brings together communications, events, storytelling, and civic engagement to help people feel more connected to the places where they live and work. Through public programming, creative strategy, writing, and community-centered experiences, the studio works with cities, organizations, and local leaders to create spaces where people feel welcomed, inspired, and engaged.
Kelsey’s work is shaped by a lifelong belief that cities are more than infrastructure — they are emotional, social, and cultural experiences. Raised in a family deeply connected to urban planning and community development in Detroit, she grew up seeing firsthand how optimism, curiosity, and human connection can shape the future of a place.
Over the last decade, her work has spanned public sector communications, neighborhood engagement, events, workforce development, and storytelling. She currently works in communications and employee engagement for the City of Philadelphia, where she focuses on strengthening relationships across departments and building a more connected civic culture.
Kelsey Hubbell Studio is currently developing projects focused on joyful civic life, including the Civic Fun Summit, writing and research on public life and belonging, and learning exchanges that bring communities together through shared experiences, local culture, and exploration.
